And don’t worry, if you change your mind, they could handle that as well. This was the crew's first trip of the season and they did great. Our first time doing a River Cruise we had an amazing time. Staff and crew members were wonderful always around to answer any questions and concerns.

Tried my first cruise with ACL this year, the Lower Mississippi cruise itinerary. As with all American Cruise Lines sailings, a pre-cruise hotel night in the city of embarkation is included. This allows everyone to arrive the day before and explore a bit. We sampled Portland’s delicious food scene, lunching on lobster rolls at the Highroller and fresh halibut at Scales. The cruise was a 5 in so many ways but I could not give the entertainment and the food an exceptional score. Tho some food was excellent, other times, especially at lunch, it was not.The staff were indeed a 5 in every way.For the price here in USA I expected more than on other riverboats.

Aaron was our server and he was so friendly although to be honest so was everyone always smiling and saying HI! Night time entertainment was awesome-especially Mark Farris! We met so many nice friends and even scheduled another cruise with a couple we met. Always, kind, helpful and some even inspiring (server Genie, on Serenade). Our server, Kristy, always went above and beyond to try and make our dining experience a good one. They always tried to accommodate us but it shouldn't have been that painful. They gave us lots of red snapper which is not a delicious fish, but it is a cheaper fish.

We arrived the night before and took the tour of Seattle on Friday morning. My husband and I just completed our 3rd cruise with American Cruise Lines and booked a 4th while on board. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to make the entire experience a memorable one. We celebrated both my birthday and our anniversary while on our cruise and the staff made both very special events for us. Each of our cruises has enabled us to meet new people and explore different places in the US in a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere. I can't rave about the food enough, I loved the 1/2 portions, and no wait to be seated.

The ship, our room, the crew, the food, the service, the shore excursions, the evening entertainment, the buses and tour guides, lectures, etc. could not have been better. My wife and I signed up for two more cruises based on our experience on this one. We had not been on a river cruise before and we highly recommend American Cruise Lines. For us, the combination of plain fun, a really wonderful, engaging staff, the educational excursions, and just seeing a part of the country that was completely new to us, made this a memorable experience. We ended our trip with a New Orleans stay, which really added to all of the above.

We had the pleasure of sailing on American Cruise Line's brand new ship - the American Eagle! I love the fact that it maxes at 100 guests and it is a casually refined craft that makes you feel... The ship’s pleasant, windowed, open-seating dining room has tables for two, four, six, and eight.

On board information was posted daily as well as communicated over the speaker system. When rains were encounted umbrellas were made available. Ship was always docked close to bus pick-up and transport to site of interest.

The ship has a fitness facility that’s well-stocked with exercise machines, free weights, and yoga mats for use by passengers. There is also a walking track on level 5, the top level of the ship, along with a shuffle-board court. Great for a single woman fun safe way to travel and be with interesting folks.

We just wish our guide for one of the walking tours had a microphone since we couldn’t hear a lot of what was said. Tours were great, staff was always pleasant and helpful.
